Webbcocolith. 11 years ago. In the Simplifying Radicals video, u simplyfied the radical by using the following formula: Problem: simplify the square root of 72. Step 1) the square root of 72 = the square root of 36x2. 2) the square root of 36x2 = 36 squared x 2 squared. 3) the square root of 36 = 6. WebbMultiply and simplify 5 times the cube root of 2x squared times 3 times the cube root of 4x to the fourth. So the two things that pop out of my brain right here is that we can change the order a little bit because multiplication is both commutative-- well, the commutative property allows us to switch the order for multiplication.

WebbWe can use rational (fractional) exponents. The index must be a positive integer. If the index is even, then cannot be negative. We can also have rational exponents with numerators other than 1. In these cases, the exponent must be a fraction in lowest terms. We raise the base to a power and take an n th root. WebbSimplify the following cube root: 3√750 750 3. Step 1: Start by finding a factor pair of the radicand. 3√750= 3√2⋅375 750 3 = 2 ⋅ 375 3. Step 2: Continue to factor your radicand. …
